DIY easy wall book shelf

I have seen this done before and thought I'd give it a try. I bought a 10 ft white vinyl rain gutter and had an employee at the hardware store cut it to smaller sizes with a hand saw. When I brought it home I sanded down the cut sides until smooth. I used a screwdriver and hammer to make holes in the gutters for the screws. I also bought washers, screws and some gutter hooks for the ends instead of the end caps because they were $5 cheaper. :) I spent around $30 for 4 shelves, two larger and two smaller.  Here are some pics of my project in progress... Pretty happy with how they turned out! Nice and neat!!
