Free ice cream👏🏽👏🏽💙🍦

I signed the kids up this summer for our local library summer reading program. The kids enjoyed it as much as I did. It was nice to have that time together after a busy day to just sit and read a good book. In completion of it, they received a coupon booklet for local activities and treats. Today we redeemed one of those coupons for free ice cream cones! A perfect treat while running errands on this hot day!! Enoch even got his own miniature cone! 😅🍦💙👍🏽

Waffle Cooked Cookies!! 😍

My oven is in need of the lower heating element. Right now I don't have the time or desire to replace it. Summer and oven cooking don't mix well in my house. 😅 But after a while I began to miss baked cookies. 😁🍪 So I googled and found the idea of using my waffle iron! Genius!! And they turned out great!! The cast iron was my first try, but didn't really work well for me. The waffle iron is much better. I made a step by step photo collage and posted it on Pinterest. I'm thinking about not using my oven for a long while now. Maybe even until we move! 😅 I don't need it for the meals I cook right now. So, why not! 😅👍🏽💗 

Here is my step by step process:

1. Mix up your favorite cookie batter.

2. Heat up your waffle iron.

3. Spray each eagle section with a little cooking spray. 

4. Make balls of dough and place one in each waffle section.

5. Close iron and cook for 3-5 min. 

6. Carefully lift them up with a fork and set them on a plate to cool for a minute or two.

Water fountain fun!

So currently we do not have a pool membership. I looked up some local public pools, and all of them you had to pay for a monthly or year subscription, or it just cost too much for a daily pass. 

I really didn't feel like doing water play at home.... So I brainstormed for a moment and remembered these interactive water fountains in some of our local shopping centers. Bingo!! That's where I took the kids earlier this week when the heat was just too much. It's free! I don't pay the water bill, and there is tables and chairs for seating. No deep water to worry about and the kids can still quickly get soaked to cool off! Win, win, win!!! 😍💦

I packed a picnic lunch and we headed over for a super cool, fun afternoon! 

Of course we weren't the only ones there! 😅 I knew several families would have the same idea. ☺️👍🏽

All in all, the kids had fun. The pool is nice to swim laps, but the fountains did the job of keeping us cool and providing outdoor play as well. 

I knew it was going to happen! 😂

Dancing to the Olympics 💗💗

My girls and I enjoyed watching the rythmic gymnastics the other day. I didn't know much about it but was quickly taken by the beauty and strength of these athletes! So beautiful to watch!!💗💗 Here are a few pics of my girls dancing along. ☺️💗 I made batons with ribbon for them to dance with and they found balls to use too. 😄👌🏽💗

Hello!! ☀️❤️💦 Hope you all are enjoying your summers!! 

So....since last time when I switched to Wordpress, I ended up not doing as much posting as I anticipated. 😜 So I'm back to blogger! I like that I can have the app on my phone and be able to post anytime I get the inspiration to. 😄👍🏽 So hear goes blogger round 2! 😅 I also plan to do family updates on here as well. I will be closing out my Instagram soon, so this will be my outlet for all you family and friends to keep up to date on all our happenings. ☺️ I can't promise a ton of posts, but I will do my best! 👍🏽 Homeschooling will start Sept 1st this year so I know posts will for sure slow down then. ☺️💗🌸
